Halo 4: 10 Reasons It's The Best Halo Yet

1. Incentivised Multiplayer

Of all the things borrowed from Call of Duty, it is the decision to heavily incentivise the multiplayer offering that really gives the online its kick. Now how you progress through the ranks (clearly delineated by a system that runs from SR1-50) feels more important than ever, as it allows you to unlock a massive array of weaponry, armour, and most importantly, perks, as you progress. This is delivered in a way that feels in tune with Halo's present style, so fanboys, don't panic; the series hasn't become Call of Duty just yet, at least not in the bad ways that name connotes. Though some might have a fond nostalgia for how simple the previous Halo multiplayer games were, this is definitely a savvy move if 343 want to keep pace with the pack and remain a vital, relevant online action experience, which they have absolutely done here. Freakishly addictive, deliriously enjoyable, and easily the best multiplayer of the entire Halo saga, 343 have done themselves and gamers everywhere a huge service. Picking up Halo 4 today?
