3. Additional Game Modes
Features like 'Forge', 'Firefight', 'Theatre' and the more recent 'Spartan Ops' were a great way of prolonging the games' playability, each mode adding a significant number of hours. Though the majority of these alternative game modes were included in Halo 4, the much-beloved Firefight was removed altogether, presumably to be replaced by Spartan Ops. Some felt somewhat cheated by Spartan Ops due to the fact it required an online account and could not be played offline, as well as the frequent repetition of the maps used. If Halo 5 could incorporate a more accessible Spartan Ops with its own dedicated levels and missions, it could act as a solid secondary campaign to extend the game's playtime - something which is typically short in most Halo instalments. Though this would take a considerable amount of effort, it would likely pay off, as would the reintroduction of the Firefight mode to give the game more replay value. Although it would break tradition, a new difficulty level could be added, just to contribute to even further to said replay value. Theatre and Forge modes have kept many fans entertained for hours on end, with gamers able to create short 'films' and capture their favourite gaming moments as well as build their own maps. It would be unwise of 343 Industries to remove any of these modes and we can only hope they will both keep and improve upon them instead. This is preferable to them taking a step back from Halo: Reach like they did in Halo 4 by getting rid of Firefight and 'Forge World' - another feature that fans are anticipating.
