Halo 5: Guardians - 9 Shocking Changes That Will Divide Fans

9. No Big Team Battle

For many - including myself - the idea of shipping a Halo game without Big Team Battle is tantamount to morning cereal without milk. It's the go-to mode that does exactly what it says on the tin; a glorious explosion of vehicle-meets-firearm combat that just screams "HALO!" when viewed for any length of time. In BTB's place we've got Warzone, a risky experiment on 343's part that restricts the mode to only a handful of maps. Thing is, the goal here isn't to rack up the kills, it's to take over buildings and areas, Battlefield-style, all whilst fighting AI bots that are baying for blood from both sides. The awesome part comes with the fact that killing these AI guys can award you more points than a human, thankfully making it something more than just a next-gen version of Territories. That said, although 343 have mentioned they'll be patching BTB in at some point in the future - assumedly as a way to 'force' players to give the new mode a try first - Big Team Battle is a staple mode in the series, and should've made an appearance regardless.
