Halo Infinite: 10 Story Questions It Must Answer
6. The Question Of The Arbiter
Unquestionably, one of Halo 5's more disappointing aspects was how it implemented the iconic character of the Arbiter. Sure, he was in Halo 5. In fact players even got to spend a mission helping him in a war against the remnants of the Covenant. This was all well and good, but there was no denying that something was missing.
That something was getting to see Arbiter and the Chief meet again after a long hiatus. Two enemies turned allies meeting for the first time since the end of Halo 3. It could have been amazing.
Alas, we did not get such a moment. Halo 5 ended so abruptly that it appeared that Chief and Arbiter didn't even glace at each other. It was tremendously disappointing.
Since the end of Halo 5 though, things have changed. Since the Banished defeated humanity, the Arbiter's location is unknown.
Finding out if the Arbiter went down fighting with them, or has been lost to the far reaches of space, would be excellent. Using the open world mechanics, 343 could have him appear as a spontaneous event, or as a side mission.
We just want Chief and Arbiter together again.
