Hitman 2 Review: 5 Ups & 5 Downs
2. It's Packed With Solid Side Content
If the six core missions aren't enough to keep you busy, there is a solid suite of additional content to engage with.
Sniper Assassin mode, for instance, perches Agent 47 on a cliffside with a powerful sniper rifle, as you're tasked with eliminating three targets before they can escape, either solo or with an online pal.
Ghost mode meanwhile pits the player against another human online as you both race to assassinate a target first in order to score points. Though it's basically just the seed of an idea which could be much more ambitious and fleshed-out, Ghost is also an addictive and surprisingly organic way to take the Hitman experience online.
Elsewhere Contracts are back as expected, with players creating their own hits for other players or tackling those already posted online. The contract creation tools are a tad clunky, to be honest, but it's still an amusing enough time-waster overall.
IO has promised that more content is coming soon - in addition to the already-announced Elusive Target mission featuring Sean Bean - but right out of the box, there's certainly a decent amount on offer.
