Hitman Absolution: 10 Reasons It Sucks

3. Regenerating Health

Reports over the Summer began to flood in that an early build of Absolution actually had full regenerating health, but developers assured us that this had been removed. A collective sigh of relief was let out, that is, until, we picked up the game and got wounded for the first time. Though Agent 47 doesn't have full regenerative capabilities, he's able to have about half his life bar refilled if he simply stays put after being wounded. Again, this feels far and away from what Hitman is all about, and it's not even given some sort of explanation like the shields in Halo; it's just a Call of Duty-esque gimmick to, again, make the game easier for casuals while reducing the intensity level. Granted, higher difficulty settings do away with this, but not everyone has the time to play through a 30-hour version of the campaign just for the sake of non-regenerating health. How about giving us a list of options at the start of the game that allows us to customise our own difficulty next time?
