Horizon Forbidden West: 10 Confirmed Details You NEED To Know

5. New Corruption

Horizon Forbidden West
Guerrilla Games

It looks like the Forbidden West has its own kind of corruption that takes the form of red vines and spreads throughout organic life as well as machine life this time around. Guerilla Games called this new corruption the 'Red Blight', and as Aloy, it will be our task to discover the source of this phenomenon and put an end to it.

This Red Blight doesn't just seem to affect the mechanical and organic life of the world. We also see in the trailer massive supercell storms forming, with spooky red lightning, an alarming sight for the turnip farmer whose crops are already dead due to the spread of this corruption. This means that the phenomenon of the Red Blight also seems to affect weather massively and who knows what else.

We expect this new Red Blight to play a significant role in the game as the corruption of Horizon Zero Dawn did also. It is Aloys task to stop the spread of this seemingly cataclysm-causing phenomenon and save the world from certain destruction.
