Horizon Zero Dawn: 10 Things The Sequel Must Have

8. Minimal Human Combat

Horizon Zero Dawn
Guerrilla Games

There's no getting around it: human-on-human combat in this game is not good. Whenever a human battle kicks off, it evokes a groan and has most players wishing they were just fighting the decidedly cooler and more satisfying-to-fight machines instead.

Without the weak spot mechanic required to efficiently battle machines, killing humans en masse is honestly a bit of a slog, hampered by the sheer number of bodies the game will throw at the player during a fight, and how laughably terrible their AI is.

Ideally, Horizon 2 would leave out human vs. human battles altogether, but considering how unlikely that is, hopefully they'll just be kept to a comfortable minimum instead.
