How MachineGames Should Make Wolfenstein 3
1. Properly Conclude The Story
The final issue goes back to the first point made in this list. The story needs a conclusion. This is why BJ needs to become the protagonist again.
If Wolfenstein 3 is the final part of the trilogy, it needs that victory.
This was one of the storytelling problems with Wolfenstein Youngblood. Despite 20 years passion between it and New Order, the war wasn't over.
Most of the world was free, but Europe was still under heavy Nazi control, and that makes your efforts in the other games feel lesser. In 20 years the Nazis can't be beaten - even with the combined force of the freed countries of the world.
Wolfenstein 3 needs to conclude the story, hopefully with BJ managing to rid the world completely of the Nazi menace and saving everyone.
Let's be real: We don't always play Wolfenstein for the nuance. We play it for the great characters, the fun and wacky storylines, technology, and for the sheer fun of gunning down KKK members in full attire.
MachineGames knows this, New Colossus and New Order give the fans everything they want. If they go back to the formula and round off the story, it's going to be a good one.
