How Rockstar Should Make Grand Theft Auto VI
2. Expand The Multi-Protagonist System
The triple-pronged protagonist system of Grand Theft Auto V allowed the game to deliver a layered narrative and a sense of variety throughout.
Needless to say, Rockstar should take the same approach with GTA VI, but there's scope to expand the concept and introduce more playable characters with unique perspectives into the mix.
We've already addressed how the inclusion of a female lead and a playable police officer could be game-changers for the series, but the game wouldn't necessarily have to choose between one or the other if four protagonists were included.
This also leaves room on the roster for GTA VI to bring back some series favourites, such as Tommy Vercetti, Niko Bellic or Carl 'CJ' Johnson in playable roles. Hey, we can dream, can't we?
Although four playable leads could be a case of too many cooks, a developer with a glistening track record like Rockstar should be able to balance the equation.
