Taking a slight knock to its otherwise thunderous momentum thanks to not having a co-op mode or creative Forge suite at launch, Halo Infinite is still the game to watch for the rest of this year.
Now split into two halves, the paid-for campaign (also available on Game Pass) and the free-to-play multiplayer component, the latter was confirmed to have its own set of story missions or narrative goals, framed around the introduction of one Spartan Commander Agryna.
Thanks to a beta that went down phenomenally well, we know that Halo trilogy writer Joseph Staten being back on board seems to have revitalised the team tenfold - it's just over to the rest of the production to see if Halo truly is back or not.
Lastly, how insane is it that for the first time since 2015 we've got all three top-tier premiere FPS franchises duking it out for our attention at the same time??
THAT is the real culmination of hype.
