9. Enchantress

Someone else who became more popular for their role in Suicide Squad, Enchantress could be a unique magic user, with abilities similar to Shang Tsung.

A relatively unknown villain beforehand, Suicide Squad really gave us some small glimpses at her personality. Therefore, perhaps her pre-match interactions with other heroes could come from June Moone, before she transforms into Enchantress, giving fans an extended look at who she is.

Bonus points for making characters like Blue Beetle scared of her when she transforms.

Playing like a mixture of Mileena and Shang Tsung, her feral nature means she could crawl around the stage and leap at enemies. Most importantly, Enchantress also has powerful magical abilities, all of which would make her a very interesting addition to the roster.

Her possession ability is perhaps the most interesting of all. Enchantress could mimic the character she is facing, keeping her own combos but gaining at least one of their special moves. A crazy idea would be to interact with stage hazards without being near them, triggering them to activate from afar - much like she did in Suicide Squad.

Enchantress also has a range of more typical abilities like teleportation that could make her a character with amazing speed and distance. Combining that with her magic abilities would make her a deadly combatant.
