8. Eclipso

Somewhat inevitably, any character that is even remotely associated with a deity will always rank high in the power rankings, and Eclipso's actual job makes him an even more compelling consideration as an Injustice character.

In the comics, he is the literal incarnation of the Wrath of God and the Angel of Vengeance who lost his way to evil. He transcended a ridiculous origin (he was named Bruce Gordon as a Batman gag for some reason) to be transformed from generic supervillain to full-blooded mega-demon in The Darkness Within story.

He is unfeasibly strong, can fly, is immortal and invulnerable and is basically everything God would want from a top level employee, with a side of evil. Obviously, you'd have to handicap him a little (or he'd be completely unbeatable), but his power-set would make him a great character to play as. He also has a bad-ass sword for those special weapon-combos NetherRealm love so much.

Interestingly, he also has the power of possession, which could have led to some marvellous "quit hitting yourself" style shenanigans in-game.
