In addition to Injustice's inevitable returning characters, it would be great to see some of the lesser-known heroes of the DC Universe get their chance to shine. While its undeniably wonderful to be able to play as heavy hitters such as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, we cant forget about their trusty Superfriends. With the obvious choices already in play, Injustice 2 will have to dig much deeper to widen its roster. That could see us playing as the likes of Swamp Thing, Deadman or Animal Man (also giving the designers a chance to create new powers and character types for us) as well as all-rounders like Frankenstein, Power Girl (boob window optional), Blue Beetle and Booster Gold. Zatanna's chum John Constantine could pop up to blow cigarette smoke into the eyes of his enemies, while it seems shocking that we haven't had so much as one measly Robin swing into action as Batman's backup. The likes of The Sandman (Vertigo version, not the Marvel character) is probably a little beyond the pale, but anything can, and should go. The DC Universe is a big place with a varied, rich history, so it would be fantastic to see Injustice 2 take advantage of that as much as it possibly can. Playable Alfred Pennyworth, anyone?
