Where Gods Among Us tried to even out its roster with an equal amount of villains to heroes, it did have a tendency to feel a little Arkham-heavy. Thats fine Batman gets the best baddies after all but it forgets about so many other dangerous, distinctive criminal minds. As with its heroes, we'd like to see Injustice 2 widen the net, giving its heroes a lot more muscle to face off against. For every Joker or Bane, there's also the underrated liked of Gorilla Grodd, Captain Cold (a third-rate Mr. Freeze), Bizarro and Black Manta. The latter could be a particularly interesting choice, given how awesome Aquaman turned out to be in the first game. If you must include a few more Bat-baddies, though, may we suggest KGBeast (the original, Russian Bane), Mr. Freeze (a first-rate Mr. Freeze) or Jason Todd's raging, resurrected Red Hood? Maybe even Batman himself, turning The World's Greatest Detective into an even Darker Knight? Injustice's hook was in seeing that universe's so-called heroes break bad, so a sequel could give its villains even more room to shine in that respect, joining the Joker and Luthor as the world's surprising saviours. A villain like Bizarro may have him chance to prove he superhero yet.
