Injustice 2: 5 DC Superheroes That Must Be Playable

Among DC's stable, few match the unbridled destruction capable of Captain Atom. A former air force pilot and Vietnam veteran, Nathaniel Adam was framed for a crime he didn't commit and sentenced to execution.

As an alternative he was "asked" to participate in an experiment that involved him being placed inside a crashed alien craft as an atomic weapon was detonated under it. For science.

After the blast seemingly disintegrated the craft and Adam he emerged 18 years later with the alien metal that made up the craft seemingly bonded to his body.

As the name implies his powers are atomic in nature making him a living nuclear reactor with the ability to absorb and dispel atomic energy. However, because of how unstable he can be, it would be likely he would play much more defensively than someone like Superman or Doomsday.

With each character having some sort of unique trait that sets them apart from everyone else, I can easily see Atom's playstyle being focused around absorbing projectiles to build energy before unleashing it in a single devastating attack.

He would be a perfect counter to someone like Deathstroke who can very comfortably sit on the opposite side of the stage shooting his opponent without much - if any - recourse.
