2. Hero Traits Are Massively Improved

Hero traits are character-specific actions which can be activated temporarily with the press of a button after the power meter has filled up. While they actually felt fairly tacked-on in the original game, here they feel more like a focal aspect of combat and often instrumental in scoring an advantage over your opponent.

Whether you're using the trait to unleash Poison Ivy's plant monsters, fire Supergirl's heat vision or go wild with Blue Beetle's robot arms, they're an incredible amount of fun to use, and if employed skilfully can mean the difference between victory and defeat. Mistime them, though, and they just might cost you, too...
