Injustice 2 Trailer: 10 Things You Totally Missed

1. Just Who Even Is That Narrator?

If you're brave enough to venture to the comments section of Injustice 2's announcement, you'll see a boatload of fans speculating behind various tidbits in the trailer. The main thing that has dominated discussion however is the ever ambiguous identity of the trailer's narrator.

Some have pointed to the man in question being Ra's Al Ghul, and while it's true certain bits of dialogue could be ascribed to the immortal warrior, he simply isn't a big enough enemy to pit so many heroes against each other. He makes references to a 'pit', yes, but this couldn't be anything other than an allusion to a gladiatorial arena, of which Warworld holds in abundance.

Yes, I'm going out on a limb here and am saying with a degree of certainty that the narrator in question is not Ra's as fans have hypothesised, but rather Mongul instead. The voice, the dialogue and the setting of the trailer all draw parallels with the Justice League's combat-savvy enemy, and if any character is able to commit so many heroes to a death battle, it would be Mongul.

He has the power, the tenacity and the will to make it so, and if anyone could surpass Superman as a primary antagonist for an Injustice sequel, it could only be one of his most formidable foes.
