If Red Tornado or even the aforementioned Plastic Man's abilities seemed as though they would provide some terrific visuals and insane moves, then Metamorpho is on an entirely other level.
With the power to transmute into any element or compound in any of the three states, Metamorpho is practically able to be anything. Want to turn into a poisonous gas and suffocate your opponent? Done. Want to turn your arm into a golden hammer and flatten them? Metapmorpho is still your guy.
Simply give the character to the animators over at NetherRealm and let them run wild - it might just produce some of the most unique takedowns in all media.
As for his place in the narrative of the Injustice-verse: who cares? Story isn't the reason you include a hero like Metamorpho in a video game.
