Just Cause 3 Hands-On Review: 7 Key Impressions It's Made
4. The Wingsuit Is The Best New Feature
It's telling of this Square Enix's contentment to leave things 'as we were' in Just Cause 3 that the most notable new feature of the game is the wingsuit. While it's not quite a game-changer, it's one hell of a game booster, and an awesome addition to Rico's arsenal. The first time I used the wingsuit was a catastrophic failure, as I whipped it out instead of the parachute accidentally and plummeted head-first into the ground. But it didn't take long for me to get to grips with it, and before long I was fearlessly plummeting down mountainsides like a pro, carving through the air just a few feet from the speeding ground passing below me. The wingsuit infuses the airborne mechanics of Just Cause 3 with a welcome sense of danger. Falling hundreds of feet from the sky in the game still feels quite floaty and safe, but if it all gets a bit too pedestrian for you then just whack on the wingsuit to up the adrenaline.
