Just Cause 3 Hands-On Review: 7 Key Impressions It's Made

3. The Just Cause 3 VR Companion App Will Take Your Breath Away

https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=53&v=KGzkJjPbo8Q Speaking of exhilarating skydives, Square Enix has just announced the Wingsuit Experience companion app for Just Cause 3. Available for Android and iOS, this free app requires a VR headset to use (yet another reason to buy the super-cheap Google Cardboard), and lets you look around in 360 degrees as Rico wingsuits and parachutes his way through the skies of Medici. Sure, it's a bit of a gimmick, but mobile VR apps are the best damn gimmicks of the past couple of years, and this simple experience is arguably more immersive than the game itself played on a flat screen; no offence intended to Just Cause 3, but this bitesize VR experience is just that good. You can't control Rico as he parachutes, guns and freefalls his way towards the ground, so just strap in and enjoy the thrill-ride as he unleashes airborne chaos upon the archipelago.
