6. Dream Eaters Return
A 'blink and you'll miss it' moment within the new trailer revealed to us that Dream Drop Distance's Dream Eaters will be returning in some capacity.
During a segment of the Monster's Inc world gameplay, we see Sora summon a Meow Wow and use it in a similar manner to how he did in Dream Drop Distance, before it blows up into a massive balloon and releases a whole crowd of Dream Eaters.
Whether their appearance is representative of Sora's bond with the Dream Eaters following Dream Drop Distance, or simply showing how many allies Sora will have isn't clear, but it's pretty cool to see them again nonetheless. It could also be hinting at the return of Nightmares, but considering how many enemies are already in the game it seems fairly unlikely.
The return of the Dream Eaters is especially surprising considering how poorly received they were in Dream Drop Distance. Here's hoping that they'll get a new lease of life in Kingdom Hearts 3.
