If you like to explore on The Last of Us Part 2, you'll likely come across a few safes, just waiting to be cracked.

Codes are usually pretty easy to find - they're either written on letters, or cunningly hidden in the environment on a calendar or message on a wall. There's one of these, during the mini-open world exploration of Seattle section, that's more important than the others.

The code in question is 0451. You'll find this written on your list of checkpoint codes, and it can be used to open a safe behind a fenced off area.

This particular code is important because it's a reference to a code that's used constantly in games as a sort of in-joke between game developers. It was first used in the original Deus Ex, and since then, it's popped up in loads of different titles including Alien: Isolation, Bioshock 1, 2 and Infinite, Gone Home, Dishonored 2 and Prey.
