League Of Legends North American LCS Summer Split Analysis: Week 4

3. Counter Logic Gaming (7-5)

CLG Logo This week, Counter Logic Gaming proved that they are not leaving the top four anytime soon. After a less than .5 start week 1, CLG is sitting pretty in third place behind only the dominant Cloud Nine and the consistent Team Vulcun. This team, despite their new composition, rose above amazing competition this split. They lost to Team Coast in their first match but redeemed themselves with a decisive win over Velocity eSports. They are surely not the best right now, but they have the potential to be. CLG makes a few mistakes every game, but they always bounce back, making them one of the more dangerous teams. Top lane player Nien faced major adversity from Team Coast's Zion Spartan but bounced back with a 3/1/7 performance on Shen against Velocity eSports. Mid lane player Link made an underwhelming performance against Team Coast but also bounced back against Velocity eSports with a 5/0/4 performance on Xerath. Jungler bigfatlp made impact plays despite his less than stellar KDA. AD carry Doublelift continues to be the X factor on this team, going only 2/3/3 on Tristana against Team Coast but then having a 7/0/2 game against Velocity. When Doublelift has a good game, Counter Logic Gaming wins. Support Chauster played decently, despite some setbacks in the game against Team Coast.
