3. Counter Logic Gaming (8-7)
Counter Logic Gaming's lead over the rest of the competition is slipping slowly after a 1-2 week. They lost to both Team Curse and Cloud Nine in the early game, and it snowballed into harsh losses. However, they were able to salvage the week with a win over TSM Snapdragon, catching Reginald and TheOddOne sleeping. CLG has mechanics to improve on, but they are still a tough team. These guys will continue to press the rest of the competition and attempt to ward off all of the upcoming challengers for the #3 slot. Top lane player Nien made uneven plays on Shen in two games; he was really good in laning phase and split pushing, but he was caught out of position a bit too often. Mid lane player Link kept the team afloat this week, going 16/8/23 on Ahri, Zed, and Orianna against their three opponents. He never went below .5 on his KDA, and that is the mark of a good mid laner. Jungler bigfatlp showed us the first Pantheon pick of the Summer Split; he went 7/6/9 with it against Team Curse. However, his other two performances mostly provided assistance. Doublelift carried his team to victory over TSM Snapdragon with an 11/1/8 performance on Ezreal. His 5/1/7 against Team Curse with Caitlyn also looked great. Support Chauster used Thresh in all three games, but he looked as though he struggled a bit. He may be a bit more comfortable on Thresh than he was, yet his performance did not show it.
