7. Combat & Destructible Environments
At several points during the combat sections of the trailer we see that doors, concrete and pillars can all be knocked down in spectacular fashion. Is this a current gen game?
The use of the spells Expulso is what causes this environmental destruction as we can see in the gameplay scenes, but we can also see that this damage can actually be reversed and repaired using Reparo which is somehow even more impressive.
This destruction isn't mindless either, as the player can be seen using it to bring a whole ceiling down on some enemies, taking them out with ease.
The amount of detail that's shown in these scenes gives some credence to the theory that the new Harry Potter game is actually a next generation one.
Although there hasn't been any statement or leak to suggest that this is the case, the level of detail in these destruction scenes and generally throughout the trailer means that the Harry Potter RPG is either a next gen game, or a very impressive current generation one.
