6. Killing Enemies(?!)
One ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ moment in the trailer comes when our created character actually kills something. Wait, what?!
Near the end of the trailer, the character casts a powerful spell on a door which sends a goblin flying into the air, before being impaled on a piece of metal.
Although the poor quality of the leaked trailer means that it’s hard to see at first, a patch of blood actually starts to appear on the goblin after being hung up which certainly implies death.
This teases an exciting prospect for the leaked Harry Potter game- a dark tone. Although we’ve had combat in Harry Potter games before (see Deathly Hallows), we’ve never seen death ever really play a role.
This could also play a part in the supposed morality system that the game will be using, with the ability to choose whether enemies live or die. There’s so much we don’t know about the game yet, but it’s cool to see this in a Harry Potter title.
