The new addition I was least enthused about was Adventure Time, simply because I’ve never actually watched the show. Why should I care for a licence I have no affinity for?

Well, Lego Dimensions provides a pretty strong rebuttal. These guys are some of the most fun new characters from a gameplay perspective, especially Jake, who can transform into all manner of strange structures (including a all-crushing ball and a trampoline that is so useful it reportedly broke the game originally at certain point). Their levels are also incredibly fitting, with designs that lend themselves perfect to Lego.

It’s a pretty neat surprise, and goes to show how all encompassing and effortless they’re trying to make the game. It’s just a shame that you have to sink money for each expansion.
