7. Customizable Outfits
One of the subtler - but nonetheless interesting - new elements that has been announced is that the game will allow players to pick the outfits Chloe wears throughout the story. Moreover, depending on which outfit you pick, other characters you interact will either comment or react in a certain way.
It's not yet clear exactly how much of an impact the outfits you choose will impact the actual meat of the gameplay, however, though it does have quite a bit of potential. For instance, referring back to the Backtalk mechanic, wearing one outfit may provide you with an edge when trying to coerce another character, depending on their opinion of how you're dressed. This is in contrast to the first game, in which Max's outfits were pre-set and often reflected the plot of the current episode in some way or another.
In addition, the deluxe version of the game will feature some exclusive bonus outfits and those who pre-order will also receive Chloe's original outfit from the first game.
