Madden 13 Demo: 3 Positives & 3 Negatives
3. Presentation It's been building for years but it's finally hit me: coupled with other sports titles I am done with sports games attempting to be future-proof with scant regard for actually finding where to go to play the game. I appreciate it replicates similar effects from NFL broadcasts, I just wish they'd tried to replicate the work of NFL films. Although this might be a personal issue I have with sports broadcasting in general as Madden isn't even the worst culprit, there's a lot to be said for a more reserved approach that lets the action speak for itself. Overall, I'm more intrigued than anything. Madden 13 certainly feels slightly different to the previous addition to the franchise which I grew to loathe. The issue for me is that I was excited about Madden 12 when I first started playing it so we have to ask at this stage whether the changes made here are enough to remains as positives, or if they too will become major issues as I begin to learn the game and its various intricacies? Find out in WhatCulture's full review at the end of the month. Madden 13 is released in the US on 28th August, and in the UK on the 31st.
