Madden 16: 10 Brand New Features You Must See

8. Quarterback Mechanics

The quarterback is the most crucial member on your team, and while the collective unit is hugely important, it's difficult not to prioritise good Quarterback play above all else. The mechanics are changing, with the implementation of Air Supremacy. This works for QBs, receivers, defenders, and basically, everyone on the field, so these next few sections will detail EA's biggest collection of changes across the areas of the field. Tapping the RT/R2 button while the QB is dropping back will result in a 'roll to pass', while holding the button allows users to toggle between pocket, scramble or rollout styles to get the most from every play. The QB AI will also feel these effects, and have installed Behaviour Co-ordinator into the game meaning that they will judge situations more appropriately, while they will also adhere to individuals styles and play to strengths such as Tom Brady with his pocket passing, while Kaepernick and Co. will look to go on the run.
