Okay, time to firmly put the tin hat on. Calvin Johnson shouldn't be a 99 rated player any longer. Of course he'll go down as one of the all-time great receivers, there's no doubt. But is he still a perfect player as his maximum rating would suggest? Megatron's numbers were down last season from the one before. He fell from 1,492 receiving yards in 14 games to 1,077yds in 13. Of course, that's still an impressive total, but his production is showing signs of slowing down. Johnson's first game of 2014 saw the receiver record 164 yards, his highest total of the season as he notched four straight games without a 100+ total before he was struck by injury. Then he posted sub-60 yard totals against the Cardinals, Patriots and Vikings without marking any game with a touchdown. It would be stupid to dismiss him as a top class player, but knocking a point or two off would be enough to represent the fact that Megatron is beginning his gradual, natural descent.
