Madden 20 Early Wishlist: 10 Things Fans Demand

10. Fix The Physics & Speed

Madden 19
EA Sports

Rams' burly defensive brick wall Aaron Donald shouldn't have a hard time cutting down QBs or running through blocks. He certainly shouldn't wobble like a rag doll as he pulls off another picture-perfect sack. That happened all too often in Madden 19, and it was weird to watch.

If 20 hopes to capture the visual of watching the sport on television, then it's imperative that EA fix the player physics and don't hide behind ''Real Player Motions' that don't actually look real.

Players need to feel a lot less floaty generally, and the sluggish, jerky animations that come with defensive linemen changing directions must be sorted. This is also true on the other side of the ball. Unless you're willing to smoothly turn the sticks on your controller, prepare to see absurd rotations and impossible movements from runners.

This is a hard sport to animate, no doubt, but it's hardly helped by EA deciding everyone must run full pelt at 30 mph on every play.
