Madden 20 Early Wishlist: 10 Things Fans Demand
5. Limited Control Of AI Teams In Franchise
This one's a bit quirky.
Unless you choose to dial the difficulty down to super-easy in 19, it's likely you'll struggle to reach the Playoffs in Franchise with some of the game's worst teams. For example, helping the Browns (even with first-year QB Mayfield) to the final 12 is hard, and so is giving Matt Patricia some joy in his debut season as Detroit's coach.
In Madden 20, EA could and should add in the option to play as AI teams once yours is eliminated from contention. Rack up a measly 0-17 record as the Lions? No problem. Simply take control of the Patriots and march full-steam into that Playoff bye knowing you'll be throwing bombs as Tom Brady soon.
Is this cheating? Sort of, but there doesn't need to be any player reward for actually winning. Instead, it'd give everyone the chance to see a full season through, experience the Super Bowl and get a feel for what it'd be like to take their franchise to the dance.
