Madden 21: 10 Ways EA Can Improve Franchise Mode
7. Create-a-play
If we're placing greater emphasis on coaching, then we definitely want to bring back an old Madden staple: Create-a-Play!
We should be able to set-up entire playbooks, edit current plays, and create our own from scratch. Maybe I want to run a 4-4 defense where my entire front 8 pulls back into coverage while my secondary blitzes... probably won't be successful, but at least I got to experiment.
Ridiculousness aside, custom plays could prove useful in Franchise Mode if say your team's playbook was entirely built around a statuesque QB who never scrambled, you added Taysom Hill in free agency, but you don't have any plays to utilize his skill set. Now you can try to one-up Sean Payton in creating an awesome 2-QB-reverse-hook-and-ladder that could... go... all... the... way!
