Players are not the only people who can be a "face of the franchise". I mean, the game is literally NAMED after a coach. Jon Gruden is far more of a presence for the Raiders than say Derek Carr or Josh Jacobs. Coaches matter, especially when playing a long career mode.

We used to have the ability to hire offensive, defensive, and special teams coordinators. That needs to be brought back and then some. There needs to be more realism brought to contracts, negotiating, and even an ability to trade coaches should be an option.

Let's go beyond just coordinators. Imagine being able to bring in a young DB coach with a high potential rating. He then speeds up your current secondary's growth and gets added coaching traits such as motivation, intellect, and development in which you can promote him to coordinator. Later, you'll make the tough decision to either make him head coach, firing your HOF bound incumbent, or you let the young hotshot get poached by a rival team.
