5. Better Blocking

Playing defence in Madden 20 is pot luck. One minute, DTs are laser-guided missiles that cling to an opposition's O-Line, shimmy around them and charge in for a QB sack. The next, they're floundering around like fish on land, turning randomly without reason and acting like they're on drugs.

It's inconsistent, it's jerky and it sucks.

Blocking needs an overhaul in Madden 21. The same goes for pass rushing. This gamer has lost count of the number of frustrated, angry rants he's had at the TV because his carefully constructed defensive set up let an easy short pass expose crappy coverage. Players just don't move like real human beings, or respond to others around them.

All it takes is one CPU-controlled idiot spinning in a circle and that playbook pick is ruined. Of course, when it comes to how players react on the Madden field, there's a bigger, more worrying problem that EA need to address...
