Madden 23 Wishlist: 10 Things We Want To See
6. Increased Focus On Scouting
EA thankfully added in a rookie scouting suite to Madden 22’s Franchise post-launch, and it was a welcome addition. Now, the challenge is to go even further with it and iron out annoying gripes like not knowing just how good a receiver is at catching before signing him.
Key stats should emerge through proper scouting.
That's just basic stuff. Who wants to risk drafting a young quarterback when they don't know how accurate his throwing arm is, or if he's capable of throwing deep balls against wonky cornerbacks? Again, much like with the 'Home Field Advantage' feature, EA made a good start on this in last year's game.
It's time to double down on that hard work by making scouting a crucial part of the Franchise experience. There's a humble joy that comes from unearthing a gem and knowing he'll fit your scheme perfectly. Or, that he should fit in perfectly.
Injuries and loss of form are conversations for another day.
