Mafia 3 DLC: 8 Things You Need To Know About The Season Pass
4. Even More Vehicle Customisation Is Coming
I have to say it, Lincoln's black Samson Drifter has to be one of the coolest vehicles I've ever got to grips with in a video game. Like, it's the epitome of cool.
Getting in a car chase with that thing is just the best, but there was at least one drawback to its coolness: I never felt compelled to drive anything else.
Granted, there aren't that many other vehicles in Mafia to begin with, but even the ones I did unlock never felt as cool as Lincoln's personal ride, partly because they never changed cosmetically like the Drifter did when upgrades were applied.
For example, if you upgrade the speed, a bug-catcher pops out of the car's hood. Up the acceleration? Here, have some dual exhausts. Even the tires get a little visual tweak if you make them bulletproof, whereas all the other cars just stay in their semi-mundane stock chassis and paint job.
I'm looking forward to switching up the paint job on Lincoln's fleet, even more so if there's a chance that racing stripes and new paint patterns will be getting an appearance.
