8. Story & Characters Are "Top Notch"

Going off the trailers and little gameplay footage we've seen so far (that was covered back at Gamescom), Hangar 13 have focussed on telling a solid story; one with a real emotional motive that powers main-man Lincoln throughout, and one that will no doubt hold a ton of repercussions in terms of its main characters along the way.

Even from a few hours in, Hanger 13's dedication to story and presentation is clearly evident, with IGN's Marty Sliva tweeting that his "big takeaway so far is that holy sh*t the writing and performances are top-notch.", before Kinda Funny's Colin Moriarty responded saying he was "Still early, but [was] really digging the story, characters, and documentary-style narrative".

It seems that if you thought GTA V's 'hyper-violence and forced comedy for the sake of it' premise didn't deliver in the narrative sense, you're in luck.
