Glass Casket is everything the control mage needs to stem the bleeding against those annoying creature decks.

For a mere two mana we can exile any creature from the game providing it has a casting cost of three or less.

Exiling a creature means it's removed from the game, it doesn’t go to the graveyard and cant be reanimated by our opponent at a later date. The downside is if Glass Casket is destroyed the creature comes back but hopefully, we would have won by then!

Glass Casket sees a ton of play in Blue/White Control decks and decks that feature Yorion, Sky Nomad because we're able to 'blink' Glass Casket and pick a new target should something more formidable enter the battlefield.
