Magic: The Gathering: 10 Most Powerful Planeswalker Cards

6. Wrenn And Six

Funnily enough, this card comes in at number 6. At only two mana, Wrenn and Six is one of the cheapest Planeswalkers in the game. The utility of having a Planeswalker’s effects so early in the game, on top of everything else you do on your turn, can allow you to surge towards an early victory.

Its survive-ability isn’t great, having only 3 loyalty counters and no +2 ability to offset the low number. Also, its only survival ability is the definition of mediocre. Despite this, being able to return lands from your deck to your hand encourage self-mill and scavenge type strategies which can add a whole new level to your game.

Ideally you want to get this card’s ultimate -7 ability off at 8 or higher loyalty so that you can chain the instants and sorceries in your graveyard with retrace and keep getting the lands you discard back to your hand.

This card might be slow to pull off and it requires a bit of a learning curve, but the power in potentially infinite spells puts Wrenn and Six in the number 6 spot.
