Magic: The Gathering: Every Ikoria Godzilla Card Ranked From Worst To Best

6. Gigan, Cyberclaw Terror

Godzilla Magic
Wizards of the Coast

Gigan is one of the coolest and deadliest chicken lookalikes in the galaxy and has been constantly slicing and dicing Godzilla for years all the way until Final Wars, where the alien rooster headed kaiju gets a DragonBall Z like power up into a final ultimate form, which this card portrays.

Gigan's mana cost requires a simple two blue or black and then the most expensive cost of four generics, which seems well worth it due to Gigan's power level of 6/6 which puts him on par with Ghidorah despite a bigger cost to summon. The giant bipedal bird's ability is also similar to the three-headed lighting god but has arguably better use than the flying big boy.

This is down to the fact that when Gigan is played both players must remove four cards from their deck and whichever monster cards with even power levels in those eight cards will go to the player that placed Gigan on the field, which could give the player an advantage in numbers and even could mean they steal a powerful monster from their opponent's deck and turn it on them!

However, you do have to work around Gigan's role as a companion meaning that there are specific rules that must be followed in order to cast it, which can make Gigan a more strategic card than his other Kaiju pals.
