11. Flick The Joy-Con To Perform Tricks

The most common method of performing tricks tends to be hitting R as you fly over any ramp or ledge - however, in a nod to Mario Kart Wii and the motion-controlled delights therein, you can still pull off tricks by flicking the Joy-Con upwards at just the right time.

You don't even need to have Motion Controls enabled - though I suggest you do for some awesome HD Rumble effects - as Nintendo have subtly continued the feel of playing their system selling Wii instalment, without advertising it too overtly.
