Mario Kart 9: 10 Gameplay Features Fans Demand

Times have changed, most games give players the ability to tailor the experience to their needs, to hone every aspect of their avatars and vehicles to incredible degrees.

Games like Splatoon 2 and Mario Odyssey prove that Nintendo is open to the idea of customisation on that level. Given how many different genres Nintendo's characters have appeared in, and dressed for, there's an almost unlimited number of costume choices available.

Let players pick the outfits and colours for their favourite racer; Mario could be in full race gear or even old fashioned racing gear. Then mix and match just like in Odyssey: Yoshi in a princess outfit? Princess Peach in a Yoshi outfit? Or how about Mario as a space cowboy jockey prince or just a simple racing plumber?

In recent instalments players have been able to customise their karts too, but it would be great if the colour schemes could be altered, as well as applying logos and stickers to the body.

It should go without saying that all of these would serve as wonderful items and secrets to find and unlock throughout the course of the game.
