11. Stunt-Boost Off Mid-Air Objects

Carrying over from "proper" Mario Kart, in those games you'd tap the hop button on the lip of a jump for a boost, here it's a tap of the screen.

However, even though it might not feel like something you can do, mid-air elements like balloons or dinosaur heads can be interacted with.

When you're in mid-air and passing by, just tap the screen again and you'll receive an additional boost - sometimes meaning all the difference to securing a better position on those final stretches.
