Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: 10 MAJOR Issues Team Ninja Must Fix

7. The Camera

There are many ways to describe Ultimate Alliance 3's camera.

"Overexcitable" is one. "Downright insane" is another.

It jumps about, gets stuck, focuses on anything other than your character, and all-round seems determined to avoid whichever supervillain you're currently trying to fight.

Occasionally, it even gets so ahead of itself that it will clip through a wall to show the next wave of enemies standing around, waiting to be triggered. In a game where even at the best of times it can be difficult to tell what's happening underneath all the particle effects, the neurotic camera can often be kryptonite to any sense of fun.

This is particularly frustrating as the age of the wonky camera should be long behind us at this point. Team Ninja even had two chances to get it right, but the new "heroic" camera mode performs just as poorly as the "classic" view.

It's just as well the developers didn't direct Avengers: Endgame. If they had, then that rousing sequence at the end (you know the one) presumably would have involved the camera whipping across the battlefield at random before finishing on a juicy fullscreen shot of Captain America's left shin.
