Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: 10 MAJOR Issues Team Ninja Must Fix

4. Horrible Menus

MUA3's main story clocks in at about ten hours, and you'll feel like half of it is spent in the menus. The game seems allergic to grouping information intelligently in an accessible format.

For example, if you want to check the moves of a certain character, then you will need to find a checkpoint, enter the main menu, go to the hero select screen, swap them in, back out to the main menu again, select the team menu, select the character, and then navigate to their moves page. If you then decide not to keep them around, you'll need to start the whole rigmarole from the top.

It's exhausting, and there's no reason not to be able to access all of this in one location from the pause screen.

This becomes most egregious when trying to manage ISO-8, crystals which give various buffs and can be modified and upgraded. Most of the late-game depth comes from speccing your characters out with different combinations of ISO-8. To find the one you want, however, you'll have to manually hunt through dozens of visually identical crystals, complete with text description which scrolls at considerably less than the speed of light. Many players simply won't bother.
