2. Microtransactions Just Aren't Worth It
To get the full Marvel's Avengers experience, you're going to have to fork out for additional content. Right now, it's been confirmed that will mostly be confined to new costumes, emotes, and nameplates, and it feels like Square Enix is somewhat taking advantage of completists with these.
None of them are going to change the game in a significant way, and it's never going to be worth forking out real money for content that's so utterly pointless. Rumour has it that additional playable characters and levels will eventually come at a charge, and it seems the developers are banking on this game sticking around for the foreseeable...and bleeding gamers dry in the process.
It's never good to have a game where you need to pay extra for the full experience, and while those initial upgrades are optional, it's too bad that more focus wasn't put on other, far more important things than ensuring this is a game that can be monetized both on this and the next generation of consoles.
