5. Batman: Arkham Asylum
Batman: Arkham Asylum is heralded by many to be one of the greatest examples of a franchise Tie-in game done right. What was done wrong however was the ending. During the whole experience The Joker is portrayed as someone who revels in subtlety, enjoying intellectual struggle and psychological warfare based methods of torturing the hero. With this in mind, I hate that they chose to throw that all out the window in favour of having The Joker bulk up on drugs and challenge Batman to a fist fight at the games peak. It is so unbelievably out of character that it just completely broke the experience for me. An ending that showed The Joker battling in a more characteristicly Cooperant way would have felt much more natural. So there we have it. What do you think of this list? Would you leave these endings as they are? Do you agree that these could have been ended better? Is there a game we missed that you would like to see fixed?
